Sovereign Sun

The Sovereign Sun series is a captivating exploration of the intersection between abstract photography and poetic expression.

Inspired by Stavros’s own poetic composition ‘Έαρ το Πρώτο’ (Spring, The First), as well as the works of abstract expressionist Vassily Kandinsky, this series invites viewers to immerse themselves in a world of vibrant colors and dynamic forms.

Using photos of the sun taken outside of the Hamer Hall at Melbourne’s Arts Centre, Stavros has created a series of images that capture the essence of this celestial body in all its glory. Through his use of abstract forms and vivid colors, Stavros has transformed these images into works of art that are both mesmerizing and thought-provoking.

The Sovereign Sun series is part of an ongoing exploration of abstract photography and poetry, as Stavros continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of visual art. Each image in this series is a testament to Stavros’s unique vision and artistic sensibility, inviting viewers to contemplate the beauty and power of the natural world.

With its vibrant colors, bold shapes, and abstract forms, the Sovereign Sun series is a celebration of the beauty and complexity of the universe. It is a work of art that is both visually stunning and emotionally resonant, inviting viewers to explore the boundaries of their own imagination and creativity.
